Step 1: Before you can control which photos appear in your widget, start by creating a dedicated album containing only the images you want to feature.
Launch the Photos app, scroll all the way down and tap on the “Albums” section. This will show you all the Albums on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap the “Create” option in the top-right corner and select "New Album". Then, give your album a name (e.g., “Favorites Widget” or “Home Screen Picks”).
Step 3: Select the photos you want to include from your library. Simply tap on "Add Photos", then scroll through the photos as you choose the ones you want. Tap on "Add" in the top-right corner once you're done.
Step 4: Now, tap on "Create" in the top-right corner to save your new album. It will now be added to the list of albums. Once your album is ready, it’s time to add the Photos widget to your home screen.
Step 5: Go back to the home screen, long-press on an empty space until the apps begin to wiggle. Tap the “Edit” option in the upper-left corner and select "Add Widget" to open the widget gallery.
Step 6: Scroll through the list or search for the “Photos” widget. Scroll through the Photos widgets, then choose the ones labelled "Album". Once you land on an album, tap on "+ Add Widget".
Step 7: Immediately the widget is added, you'll be prompted to select an album. Simply tap on "Choose" and then select the album you created.
Step 8: Tap on an empty space, then select "Done" in the top-right corner to save your customization.
The widget will now cycle through only the photos in your chosen album, ensuring that your home screen reflects your curated memories.
