In this tutorial we will show you how to make a shortcut button on your desktop that will instantly shutdown your computer with a click ( Works on Windows 8 / 8.1 / 7 ) without going through the start menu and search for the shutdown button ( With a custom icon too )

Step 1:

Right click your desktop and choose: New - Shortcut.

Step 2:

Type in "shutdown.exe -s -t 00" - Next - Finish.

Step 3:

Right click on the shortcut created select "Properties" and then "Change Icon..." select the shutdown icon and press OK.
