How to Solve Oculus Thumbstick Drift Problem!
7A topic arises from the kids who got it for christmas. If you were one of the chads that preordered the device, you already dealt with this problem, but it seems some people still need to fix their devices and get back into playing some VR!
Reminder: Don't buy a link cord! Get lucky at a bargain bin store or buy a cheap 12 foot USB 3.0 cable, it works just as good and I'm enjoying my VR experience overall. Airlink is nice too, just wish Oculus wouldn't shove their's and Facebook's cockles into our throats as we plead helplessly to draw breath as they mercilessly and violently vomit Star Wars exclusives in my face.
I swear, the lack of accessibility around their API is entirely uncalled for and almost feels like I'm using a fcking Apple product.
All I'm saying is that one day, we will have Open API's for every single headset, and it won't matter what you have, it can just boot straight into SteamVR or OculusVR API. They of course cannot afford to do this now as Oculus would lose a lot of money. They're like the Epic Games of VR Stores.
Alas, I enjoy my Oculus simply because of the fact that my PC can handle it. I have an RTX 2070, though, and it taxes my games substantially! The CPU usage and overall tax it has on my system is downright hilarious when it doesn't even need to be open in the first place!
