This video will show you how to upgrade the speed of your storage with two different devices:

The Intel Memory Accelerator speeds up standard platter hard drives and makes their speeds more like SSD drives. It's a simple plug and play affair for installing with compatible motherboards that have an M2 NVMe slot.

Once you've done that, you just need to download the software and choose which drive you want to speed up:

Note you need a minimum spec that includes:

Seventh generation Intel Core processor or newer
Intel Optane memory ready motherboard
Intell 200 series chipset
Windows 10 64-bit
Spare M.2 slot on your motherboard


The PCIe adapter allows you to install an M2 NVMe drive in a PCIeX4 slot where you don't have any (spare) M2 drive slots on your motherboard.

This means you can install NVMe hard drives where you either don't have any spare slots because you've used them all OR don't have them in the first place (theoretically).

It's dead easy to do too. Once you've installed (following the instructions in this video) simply map the new drive and enjoy!
