Splitting out your microphone audio from your desktop audio makes the editing process a LOT easier, especially if you're doing any sort of gaming video. The ability to have a continuous video that isn't tied to any changes you need to make to the audio makes life a hella lot nicer.

This video was mostly done as a reference for my son to look at when he needs to, but he suggested to put it up for other people too as they might find it useful.
