We're firmly into tier 3 of armour and weapons but it's time to look ahead to facing extreme heat and cold, which means finding out how to craft Cooling EPP tier I to III, along with Heating EPP tier 1 to III. Tier 3 gives us 60% protection against the elements, but our natural dragon defences add another 20% on top, giving us huge advantages.

We test out our initial defences on a tundra and lava planet, also using the chance to get scorched cores and cryonic extract to help us craft the EPPs. But we wisely invest in a couple of fluffalo to ensure we have at least a couple of them too, which means finally sorting out corn & cattle feed down on the farm.

The lava planet turns out to be impossible, with extreme heat and no actual land. We quickly leave Planet Nope, but WE'LL BE BACK.

Crafting the Cooling and Heating EPPs also need us to have zerchesium and durasteel, both thankfully in stock in our Wasteland base. We use our scorched cores and cryonic extract, along with a dense alloy that we discover needs to be made at the Fission Furnace, the most advanced furnace in the game. Dense alloy also needs violium, aegisalt and ferozium.
