How to Tail-Whip in Riders Republic the right way

YOU MUST HAVE A SLOPESTYLE BIKE AVAILABLE!
Switch to slopestyle bike. While in mid-air, press and hold L2+R2 + Move left directional thumbstick left or right for the respective tail-whip. If you just hold R2 + Move Directional, you will perform a can can trick, which is most likely why you are watching this video; you want to do the tail-whip, not the annoying can can. If you are having issues doing a tail-whip, just try the L2+R2 + move directional method. This is the only way that it works for me 100% of the time.
Also, you can use this trick to keep from crashing as it automatically lands every time no matter what. Just try for yourself and you will see what I mean. Do a small jump and hold L2+R2 + move directional without letting go and it will do 1-2 spins with out crashing.
