Google Daydream is a Virtual reality platform which works only with handful of devices. And today in this video we will show you how you can make your One plus 5 day dream compatible.Daydream works only with the newer phone which are running android Nougat and above. There are phones like pixel , Moto Z and now Samsung Galaxy S8 and s8+ which works with daydream.
But if you have OnePlus 5 and wants to use day dream than follow the steps in the video.
Caution :- This will Remove the Data on your phone if your phone is not rooted already. Make sure you have done the backup of your phone.

Step 1 - Unlocking Bootloader
------------------------------
1. You need to first install device drivers
2. Enabling USB Debugging and OEM UnlockGo to Settings -- About Device -- Tap Build Number few times to get Developer Options and now in Developer Options Select USB Debugging and OEM Unlock.
3. Put the phone in Fastboot Mode (Volume up+ Power)
4. Connect the phone to your PC
5. Unzip the Platform Tool folder.
6. For windows Press and hold the shift key and right click and select “open command window here” and for Mac Spotlight search for Terminal.
7. Unlock Bootloader Command (This will Remove the Data on your phone)
1. Windows- Fastboot OEM Unlock
2. Mac- ./Fastboot OEM Unlock
Step 2.1 Flashing The Recovery
------------------------------
1. In windows type the command - fastboot flash recovery and drag the twrp img file which you downloaded earlier
2. Once done. Go to Recovery - Volume Down+ Power
Step 2.2 Flashing SuperSu Zip
------------------------------
1. In the recovery Go to Install and select the SuperSu.zip file which you transferred to your phone earlier
2. Swipe to confirm
3. Reboot - The reboot will take some time so do not manually turn off the phone.
Step 3 Making the Phone Daydream compatible
------------------------------
1. Download Root Browser - https://goo.gl/LFVptt
2. Open Browser and Grant Root Acess.
3. Go the directory /system/etc/permissions and look for “handheld_core_hardware.xml” file and open it
4. Add the following lines right before /permission closing tag at the very end of the file
Use Bracket at the beginning and ending of both the lines. See the video for more details (Youtube Doesn't allow to use Angel Brackets in the description)

5. Save the File (If not able to save than download Busy Box and try again)
6. Reboot Your Device
Installing Daydream
------------------------------
1. After the Reboot you will now be able to search Daydream App in the Playstore.
2. Install the App
3. Enjoy! If you have the Daydream headset
if you are using Regular VR headset than see below steps to emulate the Daydream Controller :-

1. Install the APK file https://goo.gl/tBNR4w in the phone which you want to use as controller
2. After installing go to bluetooth settings and pair both the phone manually
3. Open the Emulator App now.
4. On your OnePlus 5 open the Daydream app and go to Settings and tap the Build number few times which will enable Developer options
5. Look for the Controller emulator device and select the your phone from the list.
6. Click on Daydream VR mode and you will see the Controller will say its connected in green.
7. ENJOY!!
