This week, we discuss Xbox’s rumored plans to bring certain first-party games to other platforms including (presumably) PlayStation. While the jury’s out on bigger AAA new or upcoming releases from Xbox Game Studios like Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it’s looking very likely some smaller first-party exclusives like Hifi Rush and Pentiment may get multi-platform releases sometime soon. Some fans are understandably miffed by this new approach, but the more platform a game is on, the more people can play it. Isn’t that the point? Helldivers 2 just had the biggest PC launch of any Sony-published game, and it was out day and date with the PS5 version.  In other news, Helldivers 2 kicks ass as a co-op arcade experience, but does it have the longevity to be a contender in the increasingly crowded games-as-service space? Travis is reviewing Skull & Bones, which finally came out and Brian is finally hooked on a Yakuza game.
