Humayun's tomb is a splendid monument in the heart of Delhi. This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent.
In partnership with ASI and with co-funding from the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) has been carrying out a major conservation project at Humayun's Tomb. The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 and since then has undergone extensive restoration work.
