Husk - Launch Trailer
The horror game Husk recently arrived on Steam’s digital shelves courtesy of UndedScout. A new launch trailer also accompanied the release, showing off the haunted town of Shivercliff. The game has a creepy Silent Hill vibe that the devs have not shied away from.
You join Matthew Palmer in 1995 Poland as he searches for his family. Waking up after a horrible train crash, he stumbles through the empty streets and buildings of the coastal town. Creatures will be there to stalk you and puzzles to hinder your progress. As the press release asks, ‘will you have what it takes to look your demons in the eye and find your family?’
Interestingly enough, the title will take look into the dark subjects of alcoholism and domestic violence. Even the new trailer opens up with a real world number to call for those affected by the latter. These real world issues fit well within a horror world, and hopefully UndeadScout treats it than more than just a tool for cheap scares.
The game also features:
Immersive narration
’90s atmosphere heavy with cultural references
Inspired by titles such as Silent Hill and Alan Wake
Different locations in the town of Shivercliff and its surroundings
Different types of monsters and boss fights
Classic survival horror
Dedicated soundtrack created by Arkadiusz Reikowski
4–5 hours of gameplay
Powered by Unreal Engine 4
