Arc from a flyback driver. The driver is based on Michi's TL494 flyback driver plans, with a few modifications. The flyback is from an old computer monitor, which likes being run at a high frequency. Thus, you don't hear any high pitched noise in this video. The driver is powered by 12 volts from a cheap ATX12V power supply.
