2Darunia joins the party this chapter. He's a good character, but there's nothing too outstanding about him. One of the best ways to deal damage against normal bosses (not giant ones, like Dodongo) is to use his Strong Attack and just roll into the enemy, stopping them in their tracks and smashing them.
One thing to note is that him and Volga are probably the best ones to have as partners on a map since they usually take a long while before they whine about needing help, even against stronger enemies.
Ruto does not automatically become playable and has to be unlocked on the Adventure Map.
