Hyundai isn’t calling it a pickup truck, but that’s what the 2022 Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle is. Because even if the box is only four feet, four inches, it’s still a box, isn’t it? The Korean brand is hoping the vehicle’s dimensions will help position it as the urban/off-road unit they intended it to be.

The styling is certainly something new, but the powertrain setup looks familiar: the sole Canadian-spec model will house a turbocharged 2.5L four-pot with an estimated 275 horses and over 310 lb-ft of torque pushed through an all-wheel-drive system. Interior details and pricing have yet to be released, but production begins in June.
