Welcome to part 1 of my livestream series for Dredge.
As someone who spent quite a fair share of time in the fishing hole of Ocarina of Time as a kid, one thing that's always a welcome addition to any game for me is fishing minigames.
Dredge takes this concept that's normally a break from the main story of most games and makes it a required part of the gameplay loop as you catch fish to sell for money which is then used to buy upgrades to your boat to catch more variety of fish, travel faster, etc.
However beneath the surface is a story based on Lovecraftian horror that takes a complete 180 and shows that contrary to casting a line in Animal Crossing, there are things here that want to catch us...
