Update: After reading the comments, I decided to seek out one which involved unplugging all the cables beneath my desk and just leaving the ones for my monitors and keyboard & mouse. Everything else is on a side table in my room and I've also spread them apart so that the cables arent dangling with one another. So far, so good :)
