I Noticed a Plot Hole in Zombieland: Double Tap

Description: I watched the movie "Zombieland: Double Tap" with my significant other, and I noticed a plot hole in the movie. The character of Madison goes into anaphylaxis, and is left alone in the woods. Presumably she'd need to inject herself with epinephrine in order to survive. The thing is, Madison had survived the apocalypse thus far by hiding in a freezer. Epinephrine is NOT supposed to be refrigerated. I can't help but wonder if it would still work after presumably being improperly stored for a long period of time. I think, realistically, the character of Madison probably would've died in the woods from anaphylactic shock.
