I Overestimated what I can do Again
Recently I made the video "I Ramble About the Future of the Channel for 30 Minutes" where I talk about switching the channel over from Let's Plays to edited format videos completely.
Over the past month of working on it, I've realized its way too big a workload while I still work a full time job. I somehow thought I could keep the daily upload rate of classic Let's Plays going on a second channel while also producing edited videos weekly here.
I maybe have time for one or the other, but all that really happened is trying to decide what to do would leave me paralyzed and I would end up doing nothing at all.
I'm bringing Let's Plays back to this channel. I know it's a terrible idea. Youtube HATES let's plays now. But it's simply what I want to do, it's what I'm good at, and it lets me combine a hobby in playtime into one task. Where as working on edited videos feels like a job that I have no idea if I'll get paid for or not.
Edited videos will still happen! Reviews, theory videos, etc. But I'm going to work on them when I feel like it, and not out of a sense of obligation.
I've been miserable overthinking about analytics and trying to do what the algorithim wants. I just gotta do my thing and hope it's appreciated.
