I play and re-review Godzilla Unleashed for Wii on my WiiU.
This game was actually the reason why I bought a Wii in the first place but I'll be the first to admit its broken. The cutscenes are not properly synched and the game engine can't handle more than two monsters being onscreen at once. The story mode is appropriately epic enough yet progressing and unlocking the monsters is kinda difficult. There were a couple of monsters created just for this title. I remember you could send in a vote and they picked from the most popular so that was cool. The offline two player fighting mode is done very well. Its a shame this game was rushed out without alot of much needed polish. They must have really been financially busted because they never patched or included any online elements. I hear the development team folded afterwards.Truly a wasted opportunity as I'd followed the production and promotions. I really appreciate the depth of what the dev team was trying to accomplish here yet I question their logic on making it Wii exclusive. Even being a Godzilla fanatic I still can't give this over 7.2. Options to turn off the motion controls would have certainly been appreciated. Waggle to run, jump and grab is just weird. Two player fighting is its saving grace. PS:Microsoft we would absolutely love it if you gave us a REMIX. You've done it before.... Sony how about you eh? Nintendo?
