I know I’m super late to this party. I’ve played many games from the era of Skyrim, and it’s honestly where most of my game taste and likes have come from. I’ve played games that came out even before Skyrim, such as the first Red Dead Redemption, Halo 3, Assassin’s Creed 2 and so on, but for some reason I never thought to truly delve into Skyrim. I admittedly did try to play the game in 2021, but after a few hours, I kind of just lost interest and just stopped playing it altogether. I don’t think I even got much past the first encounter with the dragon near Whiterun, before I altogether just turned off the game and decided it wasn’t for me. That was, until a few weeks ago, where when browsing my ridiculous backlog, I decided to give Skyrim another go, and I’m so glad I did. Man is this game, truly something special, even when playing it for the first time, 13 years after its initial release in 2011.
