After almost a year of Overwatch 2 being out, I've done quite a lot to test how well the ranking system works (it doesn't). Throughout my experimentation I've even met some content creators like @KarQ and @FroggerOW in-game and in my opinion proven just how pointless unranked to GMs are at proving a player's skill. This video is a compilation of everything I went through (publicly) and what I learned while doing it. I did experiment more privately, but I didn't record any of that stuff, so it wasn't showcased/talked about in this video (if you're willing to just take my word on it, I had 3 other rein-only accounts that placed GM and a ball-only account that was GM2 despite me being like m2 on ball at best).
