Blaston is still, to this day, my favorite VR game. The action, the flow state, the multiplayer, it all works together well. But it’s missing one big feature, a 2 vs 2 mode! A team mode would allow for even more epic slow motion dueling battles! I ended up adding a whole lot more, including a 3 vs 3 game mode, 4 player free for all mode, a robot named Bobert, a freaking lightsaber, just to name a few.

But game development is not easy. I’m grateful for the many lessons I learned through this two year process, there will some mistakes I will try to avoid, and some successes that I will try to repeat in my next game. A video that I thought would take 3 months ended up growing and being a game I made on and off for 2 years. But the most important thing is to never quit, and finish what you started. There were many lessons at the end when I published the game to Meta’s AppLab for the Quest, and the world can play a mostly bug-free game!
