After a bit of a hiatus, a new Event mode was held this past weekend in the Eternal Card Game. This was a simple one: no special rules of any kind like the last two events. You just queue up a Constructed deck you would play on Ranked ladder and jam out games against others in a Gauntlet style format until you either get to 7 wins or lose 3 times. The prizes were per usual: a bunch of Omens of the Past packs. But to those who reached top 10 on the leaderboards, they would earn a premium legendary for their collection.

I recently have been trying to brew up other ideas for the card Flamestoker because I believe it is a win condition that is criminally underused. I've seen some experiment with it in a Stonescar control style deck and even a few Felnscar brews, but nothing much came out of it. I thought it could go into more of a midrange shell. Then I realized that turn 5 Harsh Rule into turn 6 Flamestoker is powerful. Then I realized it could work in a control deck but Fire/Justice on it's own wasn't enough: I needed another faction. So I chose Primal. Then I realized precious few others have already experimented with that type of deck.

But I tried it anyway.

And the result was GLORIOUS :)
