12Join Marius in teaching René the wonders of the 1987 ASCII rogue-like NetHack again!
For their second run they chose Marius favorite class, the wizard.
In our first season we learnt how to check for traps, drink from fountains, test wands, kill enemies and all sorts of other fabulous things. Let's see which lessons stuck and what else we can learn in this new wizard challenge with master guide Marius!

NetHack was first released over 30 years ago and is still being maintained today! The open source fantasy roguelike lets you explore vast dungeons in search of adventure, treasure and glory. One of the OG dungeon crawlers it features permadeath, procedural-generated dungeons and almost uncountable ways to interact with the world. Seriously. There are separate buttons for drinking and eating! It also features a good amount of humor compared to other games of the era like the original Rogue (hence the name rogue-like!).

As for HeMakesMePlay, we are a gaming channel focused on slow-paced gameplay to facilitate extensive descriptions and reading out loud for the benefit of Marius, who is blind. Since we all enjoy discussions on strategy and game design, they make frequent appearances in our videos. For NetHack it's even more common of course since this is closer to a tutorial or guide with René learning the controls and all. We also check the wiki a lot.
