In this video, I will scientifically prove which next-gen, new console has higher and better FPS in Fortnite 2020, the PS5 or the Xbox Series X. In order to do this, I played console only competitive trio scrims and compared the in-game frames-per-second of the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The results are surprising, and by the end of the video you will know if the PS5 is more powerful than the Xbox Series X or if the Xbox Series X is more powerful than the PS5. ⚠ These are all generalized values that can be a good representation of the FPS for each zone. Use these values as a way to compare the FPS between the PS5 and Xbox:
0:00 - INTRODUCTION
0:43 - FIRST ZONE
1:00 - SECOND ZONE
1:22 - THIRD ZONE
1:43 - FOURTH ZONE
2:04 - FIFTH ZONE
2:24 - SIXTH ZONE
2:55 - SEVENTH ZONE
3:13 - EIGHTH ZONE
3:49 - FINAL ZONE
4:29 - CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the Xbox Series X runs a better FPS in Fortnite endgame scrims when compared to the PS5. I also noticed that the FPS of the Series X was more fluctuating while the PS5 had a more constant FPS despite being lower. Does this mean that Xbox Series X players will be better? Maybe. The difference in FPS on a competitive level is significant, just like any part of Fortnite, the smallest things matter. However, this is not enough to make me switch from PS5 to Xbox anytime soon. 👍
