I tried HDR10+ with Samsung S95C. A game changer or irrelevant like Dolby Vision gaming?
You can make these changes at your own risk. I have no issues so far, but that's not a guarantee
To access the service menu, you can use the Colorcontrol app:
https://github.com/Maassoft/ColorControl
My recommendation before releasing the full brightness is to use these settings as a warm-up:
1: Use Clear Motion (BFI)
2: Turn OFF Peak Brightness
3: Lower Contrast to 21 before releasing 2000 nits for the first
time
4: Start watching some HDR content and slowly increase contrast,
then peak brightness high, then turn off Clear Motion (BFI)
Service menu:
SVC/Info/Power ON time
Control/QD option/Screen Saver Brightness from 7 to 0: ASBL (dimming to protect) OFF
Step on Advance and press Volume up for 5 seconds
To correct EOTF Tracking for 2000 nits:
W/B Movie ON/OFF: ON
Mode: Movie HDR
ColorTone: WARM2
Peak W. --------------------------from 100 to 172
HM Pat Peak w.---------------from 130 to 185
HM Con Peak W.--------------from 95 to 175
HM Pat Peak w PLUS:------from 120 to 190
To release 2000 nits:
EPA:
ANA PEAK1: from 667 to 1023 (Max)
ANA PEAK2: from 667 to 1023 (Max)
