The general premise of Pokemon Conquest:
Conquest is a spin-off game based on real Japanese warlords and warriors. The main objective is to conquer every kingdom and unite the region of Ransei. The game is a mix of the game series "Nobunaga's ambition" and Pokemon. Pokemon are linked to warriors. Together they battle on various battlefields. The gameplay is turn-based and each Pokemon and Warrior have unique moves and abilities that they can utilize in battle.

I've been looking forward to returning to Pokemon Conquest. I clearly suck at speedruns but it was fun! Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness is likely a tad harder upon further review, but this game still wasn't easy with all the strategy involved and the limited amount of time I had to actually strategize.
