Okay let me tell you about my story with this level, i have always been fascinated with this level since the first time i saw it in 2015, i think the first completion that i saw was Lyra Bandicoot's hacked completion, i thought it was legit at the time i since then i dreamed of doing the same, i also was really scared at dying at 91% because of the bug, (and in the future i did die there once), sometime later cyclic, giron, riot, sandstorm, creepy dash and more started beating the level and that inspired me even more, but at the time my hardest was decode so i wasn't good enough to do it, then in 2.0 the buffdate came and imo it ruined the level, i still wanted to beat the level but i wanted to beat the old version first, in early 2017 i started playing the level on a copy instead of just playing the start over and over, and little by little i started to become a bit better at the level, in 2019 after i graduated highschool i got a new laptop as a gift, and i remember playing the level a lot on stream, i wanted to beat it on stream and also on 60fps, also i wanted to verify my own copy because i noticed the most downloaded copy uploaded by blasscfb had 2 mistakes, the cube at 47% had orange spikes when they were supposed to be black, and at 72% there is a random mirror portal that someone mistakenly placed there, so the mirror portal was easy to fix but the wrong color in the spikes well i couldn't fix it, the most complex thing i can do on the editor is place start positions, so i couldn't figure out how to fix the spikes, so i just decided to verify that version like that, in march of 2020 i was pretty confident that i could beat the level, but it was so hard, specially the second ship, i died there so many times and it felt like i would never be able to beat it, but then i decided to use fps bypass and eventually i beat the level, i fluked the 70% ship, my worst death was at the second cube or at the piano part i don't remember, i uploaded my completion to this channel, and many people congratulated me, but i didn't felt completely satisfied, at the time the fps bypass was banned so it felt like i cheated, and also i didn't beat it on stream, eventually i had a mental breakdown and deleted all the videos on my channel, one day in 2023 i think, i decided to play the level randomly, with the fps bypass again but by that point it wasn't banned anymore, and that day i was in god mode because i was able to rebeat it in less than 200 atts, but then i realised that i wasn't recording, i was so annoyed, sometime later i was able to rebeat it again but this time i was recording, i uploaded it to the channel but then i deleted the video because i didn't felt satisfied, i have a bad habit of deleting videos, then mewtwo557 verified the definitive version of aftercatabath and i realised that the cube part had the correct colors, i asked him if he could upload that version of cc as a separate copy, he just hearted my comment and didn't respond so i assume he didn't give a fuck, then i decided to just rebeat it on stream and while i was playing my friend Judah came to the stream, i got the idea to ask him if he could fix the wrong colors since he seemed to know way more about the editor than me, he tried giving me instructions but i'm stupid so he decided to do it himself, but he couldn't do it, then i got the idea to ask him if he could just take the version from mewtwo's aftercatabath and he said that he could, and that's what he did, i started playing it and it had the correct colors in the second cube but it had two inaccuracies that didn't matter that much but it was kinda annoying but the main problem was fixed so i just verified it that day, but as you probably can guess i wasn't fully satisfied, i decided to fix those inaccuracies and i tried to reverify it on stream but now i can't stream because my game lags too much, so today i reverify it, it was annoying but i'm done with it, this is definetely (probably) the most accurate copy of old cataclysm on the servers, i also tried to just get the copy from the 1.9 servers but when i got it into 2.2 the colors of the spikes changed so i guess that error was caused by 2.0 but anyways, the only inaccuracies are in the first ship where there is a white line that idk how to fix and if you go to the editor you can notice that behind this level there is new cataclysm since mewtwo included both old and new cataclysm on his aftercatabath version but nobody is going to notice that while playing so it doesn't matter, it has always annoyed me that everyone uses blasscfb's copy so if you wanna beat old cc then play this version pls, also if you know how to fix the white line then pls do it i would really appreaciate it, continues in the pinned comment.
