Ice Age Africa Had Largest Lions To Ever Live
As much as we try to separate ourselves from the other animals, we are still animals. Being an animal among other animals means we have always had predators. Our top predators, even all the way back when we were primitive arboreal apes, are cats, birds, and snakes. Once our ancestors got big and tall, learned to make tools and clothes, and strode across miles and miles of terrain, only one of our main predators could keep up – the cat. As frightening as many of them are today, one badly damaged skull may be the key that opens the doors to worlds of giant cats we only see in our nightmares.
