Forget What You Thought You Knew About This Insane Shark-Toothed Dinosaur
867The history of paleontology is full of all sorts of unfortunate stories. One of the most unfortunate of them all might just be the destruction of German paleontologist Ernst Stromer’s life’s work during an allied bombing raid over Munich in 1944 – the majority of the museum that contained his specimens from Egypt was destroyed. In the rubble was everyone’s favorite Spinosaurus, but also a bunch of other equally fascinating critters now lost to time. However, one of those critters has just been given new life thanks to the unearthing of old photographs and proactive re-examination by a team of three researchers.
