Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition - Improved Heart of Fury Playthrough Part 1
2A fresh adventure into the frigid world of Icewind Dale. Leon and his friends' journey continues... but with an all-new twist. The Improved Heart of Fury Mode is a tough mod that changes a lot of the enemies, items, and spells, giving the entire game a fresh, albeit difficult, challenge.
Here, the characters are created, and the party starts to explore the fishing village of Easthaven. While most of the heroes follow their Baldur's Gate paths, a few are noticeably different...
Leon - Sorcerer. He'll be playing a jack-of-all-trades role, focusing on dispelling, damage, and defense-stripping. This mod will have a wide variety of challenges, so he will want to be multi-faceted in strength.
Kiara - Cavalier. She remains the party's tank and first line of defense. The mod makes her Lay On Hands even better, and she even has a Smite Evil that deals fair damage.
Lucian - Shapeshifter. Lucian has embraced his inner werewolf heritage, and is able to shapeshift. Dropping his fighter proficiencies, his werewolf nature more than makes up for it. He's the party's third line of physical defense and provides magical support with his druidic spells.
Cody - Berserker. Cody will dual to Mage later at 13, rounding out his defenses with magical potential. Enemy AC reaches insane numbers in this game, and I don't want to cripple his effectiveness if I can help it. He'll dual wield, with both axes and some form of blunt weapons, most likely flails or hammers. Cody will help with support when needed, but he is the last-line of defense for that.
Trace - Thief. Trace will focus on maxing out Find Traps, Open Locks, and Detect Illusion, before dualing to Fighter and finishing his path there. His focus is on good damage and specialization with weapons, whether that is with bows or 2H weapons. Trace is going to be more weapons-focused than his BG self, coupling high THAC0 with the necessary thief skills once he's leveled in it enough.
Sophie - Cleric/Mage. The party's de facto support heroine, Sophie will focus on boosting the party's chances to hit and defense, while assisting Leon with dispelling and reducing magical defenses.
