0I'm disappointed to say that I found Ico a miserable experience. The sense of place was neat (I'd guess they weren't cheating with any of the geometry) and the animations gave the character personality, but that's really all I can say in praise of the game. The combat was a slog. The physics were inconsistent. Yorda's pathing was terrible and her slowness frustrating. The camera was unhelpful and lethargic at best, murderous at worst. The ending robbed itself of any potential impact with the post credits scene. I just didn't vibe with this at all.
