0So far, Elex 2 is shaping up to be Bryant's Game of the Year (GOTY) even over Elden Ring. Elden Ring is certainly technically "better" in a lot of ways. But, conceptually, what makes Elex 2 a game is eons and eons more fun than the From Software formula of nerds Solving Puzzles DIVIDED BY Long Periods of Time EQUALS Combat.
Thankfully Elex 2 takes a simpler approach focusing on exploration and the fun of play in battle. Piranha Bytes has always gotten at least THAT right from Bryant's perspective.

Game Therapy is the story of a combat veteran who returns home broken from the brutality of war to find solace in his childhood pastime.
In other words, we're picking up where Classic Game Room left off!
Tonight's game therapy is Elden Ring.
An interesting choice as Bryant is known to hate the obtuse nature of Soulsborne type games. However, Bryant is hoping this time around, the added freedom of the game will allow him to fight in more intuitive and wise ways.
