When we ask the German developers of Medieval Frontiers about their inspiration, the answer is obvious: Munich-based Active Fungus Studios and CEO Jakob Braun have obviously played Medieval Dynasty before. They have been working on their own medieval building game from a first-person perspective since January 2024.
As GameStar was able to see in a world-exclusive presentation of the first gameplay demo, Medieval Frontiers doesn't just imitate the original, but adds numerous clever elements to it. You can imagine the result as a mix of colony simulations such as RimWorld, the farming simulator as well as role-playing and survival games.
