IKARI III - 2 PLAYER (ARCADE - FULL GAME)
31Zeus presents Ikari III (aka Ikari Warriors III) for the Arcade, a true classic from the golden era of arcade gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1989
Thank god this 3rd game came along to get rid of the bad taste the 2nd left many of us (Victory Road).
In this outing you control far bigger Rambo-esque characters and is more of a Double Dragon style fighting game, the gameplay can feel a little stiff sometimes and at point thd difficulty can be hard as nails but It's enjoyable in 2 player co-op mode like most arcade games.
This never found It's way to the home computers (except the utterly awful U.S.A C64 version) which is a shame, maybe after the terrible home ports of Victory Road the software houses felt it was too much of a risk,...oh well.
