Il-2 Sturmovik is the first of the famous series of ww2 flight simulators developed by Maddox Games, published by 1C and Ubisoft in fall 2001.
The simulator takes place in the Eastern Front, when Germany began the invasion of USSR territory in the summer 1941, until the fall of Berlin. The game featured a realistic ultradetailed graphics for the time, realistic damage, flight model and physics for every aircraft model ( fighters and bombers), the best AI ever seen, clearly detaching from Microsoft flight simulators for quality and longevity.
