I'm A Fake (Music Video) - The Used Guitar FC (RB2 Custom) HD Gameplay (Xbox 360)
My Thoughts On The Song/Chart: The final track on The Used's second album "In Love And Death"
The song opens up with a spoken word part, which sounds a lot better in a Live Context meant for pumping up the audience rather than on the album itself ironically. I admittingly don't like the intro here but the rest of the song is fine and standard for the Used's Emo / Post Hardcore sound.
Also while i didn't play it here, props to the bassist of the band for going off in this one.
Song Facts:
In Love and Death is the second studio album by American rock band the Used. "I'm A Fake" closes out the album and is known to be a fan favorite among listeners of the band.
Anyone familiar with The Used knows that frontman, Bert McCracken, has struggled with a number of addictions, from bulimia to heroin and likely alcoholism as well. Throughout their previous songs, Bert goes through the typical pattern of successes and relapses of attempting to overcome an addiction, but here the narrative takes an unexpected turn—he finally gets clean and doesn’t quite like how it feels.
