Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Review – Do I Even WANT to Finish This Game?
So here’s the problem with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2—it’s too good. That’s right, this medieval RPG is such an immersive, open-world masterpiece that I have absolutely no desire to finish it. Why rush through quests when I can just exist in 15th-century Bohemia, picking herbs and getting into drunken tavern brawls? The game’s attention to historical detail is so absurdly meticulous that I think I’ve learned more about medieval life here than in actual history classes.
But seriously, is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 worth playing? Is it better than the first game? Do you need to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance before this one? Is the combat still a chaotic dance of flailing swords, or have they somehow made it even more punishing? And most importantly—how many hours will I waste ignoring the main story just to perfect my archery skills?
If you’re wondering if Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is worth buying in 2025, whether it’s the most realistic medieval RPG ever made, or if you should just quit your job and live in this game forever, then you’re in the right place. Join me for this fast-paced (totally not distracted by side quests) playthrough review, where I try—and fail—to actually complete the game.
