Whether it be in TV, movies or video games, I'm really tired of getting so invested in a show, movie or game just to have the rug yanked out from under me by a horribly written ending. I was a huge fan of Dexter for years just for Dexter's Season 8 finale to completely disappoint me. I watched 15 seasons of Supernatural and I put up with a lot of issues in the show, still loving it, just to reach an ending that ended up ultimately feeling rushed. The Fox X-Men movies went up and down in quality but they proved with projects like Logan and Days of Future Past that they could hit insane high notes and could really push good writing in the superhero genre... just for Dark Phoenix to really drop the ball (partially due to Disney, I believe). This isn't just a problem in watch media, it's also an issue in interactive media. How many series have had rushed endings or entries that were pushed out for holiday sales just to let down fans? Some good examples of this include Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 being rushed for Christmas, basically cutting out a bunch of the final act, and Metal Gear Solid V being pushed out before it could have a solid ending. I'm just very disappointed and tired of being so excited for things that can't stick the landing. #dexter #supernatural #xmen
