In computer graphics, every object is behaving as if it’s emitting light! Whether it's reflecting light, transmitting it, or glowing by itself, everything is calculated to create the illusion of realism. PBR (Physically Based Rendering) simulates how materials like metal or glass reflect light, but it’s not actual physics—it uses textures and normal maps to fake reflections. Emissive materials don’t really emit light; instead, they’re processed to appear glowing. To enhance this effect, bloom adds a soft glow around bright areas. Global Illumination (GI) doesn’t truly bounce light—it blurs surrounding colors to create the illusion of indirect lighting. In the 3D world, it’s all about controlling light behavior to make things look real!
