Here we show a video of our research paper “High quality, low latency in-home streaming of multimedia applications for mobile devices” by Daniel Pohl, Stefan Nickels, Ram Nalla, Oliver Grau.

It shows a ray traced scene that is computed by four workstations and streamed to a smartphone. Inputs from the touch screen are transfered back to the workstations for processing.
Besides high-quality gaming on mobile devices this technology could also be applied to mobile virtual reality, HPC and Big Data visualization.
