12the In person personal experiences are diminishing, it feels like the experience of the gathering is becoming less and less. Prices are high, values are low and the scene of personal magic is changing. Trading Magic the Gathering cards are becoming harder to trade and use as a secondary currency, Events seem to becoming more expensive to attend and using MTG product seems to be harder to barter with. In person games seems to be a struggle anymore, especially for people like me. Ever since Lock-down, it seems that we have become more regular with Spell table, arena and MTGO as the go to ways to play magic. The best part, Hillbilly and I have become more friends because of spell table, but we have never met in person. I think Wizards of the coast needs to start putting a focus on more in person play and make it a priority. Find ways to incentivize and reward it better. Make DCI a thing again or something equivalent. I would personally like to feel welcomed back into the physical game again rather than settle for the digital media of it.
