1The Indian indices opened flat amid mixed global cues today.
The Sensex was up 57.24 points or 0.07 percent at 80,902.99, and the Nifty was up 18.70 points or 0.08 percent at 24,475.85. About 1712 shares advanced, 716 shares declined, and 129 shares unchanged.
Bharat Electronics, Apollo Hospitals, Trent, NTPC, ITC were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Power Grid Corp, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Cipla, Bharti Airtel.
