Indie Game Series Lone Fungus By Basti A Metroidvania Inspired by New & Old 16 Bit Platformer Games
0This is a pretty interesting indie game by Basti. I saw this game on twitter and thought that it looks fascinating. The gameplay according to his kickstarter is based on old school platformers from the 16 bit era as well as newer modern ones like Super Metroid, Castlevania IV, Mega Man X and Hollow Knight. It definitely shows. You play as this cute fungus or mushroom named Greencap. As you progress further into the game you gain new abilities and powers to access newer areas that you couldn't reach before. I really like the gameplay and can't wait to try the full version. The gameplay definitely ramps up in difficulty in some areas like that challenge area with the spikes.
