Inserting custom BBR samples into the Super Game Boy Super Mario World samples Test 1
Did you know that games actually uploaded custom sound samples into the Super Game Boy / 2? Nekketsu Beach volleyball for Japanese voice samples, and Donkey Kong 94 for Pauline's scream. Those are the ONLY two games that offered the additional item for SGB. In this video I upload custom samples from Super Mario World (Steel drum) sample: I reverse-engineered SMW and the format for the music data in both games, and also created a Game Boy ROM that6 uploads custom sound samples to the SGB via SOU_TRN.
The next step is composing actual music using custom sound samples (soon; I know the music format for both SMW and SGB/2, they're both N-SPC games using different revisions, and am working on a SGB tracker for musical composition.)
