Inside Out (Peach Pinky Style) Part 18: Luz Runs Away/The Memory Dump/Gristle Is Forgotten

Luz packs her things and skips school to catch a bus back to Gravesfield. As her emotions struggle inside her mind, Luz becomes apathetic and fully depressed. With Poppy and Gristle trapped at the bottom of the pit, all hope seems lost and this causes Poppy to cry, something not expected for her to do, thinking she has failed to keep Luz happy. It is at this moment that Poppy realises something she had never noticed before: a memory of Luz being sad over losing a hockey match until she was cheered up by her parents and teammates. This also meant all memories that were created by Gangle not only made Luz cry, but it also signaled others that she needed help. Realizing that Gangle's role in Luz's life is truly important, Poppy declares that they have to get back up there. Luckily, Gristle finds his rocket wagon, and in order to activate it, the two sing the special song from earlier. Poppy and Gristle begin to sing the song as loud as they can, but no matter how loud they sing, they come up short of the top of the cliff and fall back down. With one more attempt, they fly upwards, and while they do so, Gristle intentionally jumps off to make the wagon lighter, and Poppy makes it. Seeing what Gristle did, Poppy looks into the dump, and Gristle asks Poppy to "take Luz to the moon for him," and he fades away, forgotten. Poppy cries, but promises to try to fulfill his last wish.
