Install Windows 11 24H2 and BYPASS update queue to install immediately
283In today's video, we look at how you can make a few changes to the registry and the local group policy in order to update Windows 11 straight to 24H2 and bypass the install queue process via Windows Update!
Location for registry editor: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
If you cannot see the keys under the Windows Update section in the registry, you will need to create the following 3 keys:
1. ProductVersion (String Value) with the value data of: Windows 11
2. TargerReleaseVersion (D-Word 32 Bit Value) with the value data of: 1 (hexadecimal)
3. TargetReleaseVersionInfo (String Value) with the value data of: 24H2
IMPORTANT: Once you have updated to Windows 11 24H2 using the methods mentioned in the video you will need to then undo the changes made to ensure you can still continue to recieve updates.
