Insurgency: Sandstorm - CTE 1.3 Frenzy mode! New guns! New Optics!
0Upcoming 1.3 patch is live on CTE. The new update features two new guns, the QBZ-03 and the Croatian VHS-02 bullpup rifle. The new patch also features a 1x micro red dot which is far less cumbersome than the normal 1x red dots, and most importantly:
The April Fools joke "Frenzy" mode where you face bots who can only melee attack, is real. It should be familiar to anyone who plays Nazi Zombie Army or modded Insurgency servers. There are different classes - suicide bombers, fire demons who teleport., normal crazy fast guys, and "tank" or "dozers" who take a lot of punishment before dying. It's not really something the core insurgency crowd would go for but it's a fun diversion from normal gameplay.
Also, fan favorite Ministry from the original game has been added to 1.3, although it is only multiplayer in the CTE right now. Hopefully Checkpoint co-op will be added as it was one of the best maps, and would finally introduce some CQC to the game for all modes.
