So I did it. I saved the Earth. Well, mostly Elena Dragunova and Jane Kelly did, but I was also there to get all their friends killed or mauled with my poor decision making. Now, on a higher difficulty, can I pull it off again? And this time while playing Ironman so I can’t save scum? Will I have learned from my mistakes or be doomed to repeat them forever? I hope I don’t embarrass myself too badly this time in the start of the game.
XCOM 2 is a game set in an alternate reality in which aliens have taken over Earth and rule it through a puppet organization known as ADVENT. XCOM 2 places you in the role of the commander of the rebel faction XCOM trying to take back the Earth for humanity. XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is the first major expansion for XCOM 2. In addition to holding the same anagram as one of my favorite companies, it also adds a lot of new mechanics, classes and factions to the game. It also adds the titular “Chosen,” elite alien troopers who are a persistent annoyance and hindrance throughout the game and have their own unique abilities and personalities.
