intel research labs http://www.netbooknews.com Intel Research Labs has come up with a new innovation to help fire fighters figure out if they should be entering a burning building. The device dubbed the 'Fireball' is targeted at the first responder aka Fire Fighter to throw into a burning building to find out if conditions are suitable for sending in a human life. The enclosure is made to survive harsh conditions such as fire while enabling the platform to send information including temperature, free volatiles and air quality. The sensor can detect the hottest spot along with the chemical composition of a fire and send back initial readings to the first responder truck. What makes it pretty neat is that the information is sent to any smatphones and the back end offices.
